Mr. Hopping was born and raised in Kansas where he attended Kansas University and graduated in 1993 with a B.S. in Business Administration. After college, Mr. Hopping worked as an investment broker for Roosevelt Bank in Kansas City. He then went to Thomas Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where he graduated Cum Laude in 1998. Mr. Hopping then became licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and also is admitted to practice in the Northern and Eastern Federal Districts of Texas.

Mr. Hopping began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for Dallas County where he handled all types of criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to capital murder cases. Mr. Hopping has tried to verdict over 200 criminal cases. After leaving the District Attorney's Office in 2003, Mr. Hopping went into private practice where he has successfully handled the defense of both civil and criminal cases.
